This question can be answered in many ways depending on which shop you are referring to.

We have a LOT of shops that DO NOT require you to make any purchase at all, just an evaluation.

We have other shops that do require you to make a food/drink purchase. What we reimburse you is displayed online under your "shop information/info" page. The reimbursement is combined with the shop pay (which is also displayed online). The overall total combined is then printed on the check and mailed to you.

We have some shops where you FOR EXAMPLE: stay in a hotel for one night, YES they do charge your credit card, BUT as soon as you have turned the shop in online, the client automatically credits your card back immediately for the full total that you paid for the hotel room.

SO as you can see there are many different types of shops. It is YOUR responsibility to review the full shop notes/information that IS provided to you online for every single/individual shop, and it's up to you on whether you want to put in a request for the shop or not.
