What if I received an email stating there were shops in my area, and then when I logged on to the site there was NOTHING listed in my area?
If you received an email OR posting stating there were shops in your area, it is because when the email OR posting was sent, there were in fact shops available at that time. The email OR posting you received was an email OR posting that was sent to all shoppers in the area OR posted to every shopper in the area.
You have to be quick when requesting shops (depending on the situation). Some people log on right away, as soon as they get the email and they are assigned right away. It depends on what shops are available and who is requesting them.
If you receive an email, but when you log on there aren't any shops available, it is because the shops were already scheduled to another shopper.
